“Today is about jobs that are right now.” That was the message on September 17, when CNX welcomed 160 incoming Mentorship Academy students to its 2026 Intro to Energy Day to meet the teams powering Appalachia.
The students worked through drilling and engineering, technology, environmental services and logistics, and saw firsthand how many paths the energy industry offers. One said the highlight was watching operators track field activity in real time from behind the screens. Another, back for a second year, found new things to explore. Many left knowing about careers they had never been exposed to, both in the field and in the office. Watch as students get an up-close look at careers powering Appalachia.
That’s the purpose of the Mentorship Academy: giving students access, and a plan, for family-sustaining careers here in Appalachia. That path might run through a trade, a technical program, college, or straight into the workforce.
CNX thanks its partners, mentors, volunteers and team members who made the day possible, including AES Drilling Fluids, Ascent Consulting & Engineering, AutoSep Technologies, Chemstream, Deep Well Services, Diamond Technical Services (DTS), Evolution Well Services, Keystone Clearwater Solutions, M&A Resources, Main Contracting, NexTier, OpSite Energy, Phoenix Specialty, ROC Service Company (ROCS) and SandBox Logistics.
