“Progress is about persistence. Setbacks are going to happen, but you need to find a way to keep moving forward. At the chamber, we focus on the future.”
Jeff Kotula, president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, has led the region’s largest county chamber of commerce for over twenty-five years. He’s managed its growth, not only in the number of organizations that have joined the chamber, but also in its diversity of membership as well. From healthcare to energy, from restaurants to insurance services, the Washington Chamber of Commerce welcomes businesses large and small to become a part of its mission: to advance business development in Washington County, PA.
“We want to promote the business interests of our members, and we want to create and keep jobs in Washington County,” said Kotula. “The Chamber plays four roles in the community, and the first one is encouraging business networking – connecting our members so they work and collaborate together. We provide programming and opportunities for every size of business. We know that the synergy created when diverse businesses work together leads to a vibrant economy.”
In addition to networking, the Chamber also focuses on economic development, local tourism, and advocacy on behalf of its members.
With a full suite of office space, the Chamber is considered an anchor tenant for The HQ at CNX™, bringing a level of experience and expertise to the business hub. Dedicated to providing space for non-profit, charitable, underserved, women and minority-owned and underrepresented organizations, The HQ at CNX™ offers affordable, professional office space for organizations to elevate their businesses while collaborating with similarly-minded organizations. These businesses have different missions, but they share a commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families throughout the region. Together, these organizations are creating a community that brings CNX’s Appalachia First vision to life, providing long-term, positive impacts across the Appalachian basin.
“We are incredibly excited to join the HQ,” said Kotula. “We are going to be able to watch businesses grow and develop, and provide guidance along the way. We are also glad to be so close to CNX, so we can remain engaged with natural gas developments as they happen. CNX truly deserves to be complimented for what they have achieved here – they are providing a wonderful work environment and helping small businesses develop.”
