CNX Foundation officially kicked off Impact, its second annual Season of Giving, on November 1. Impact is a fundamental part of CNX’s Appalachia First vision, designed to generate tangible, impactful, and local benefits for the region CNX is proud to call home. Through the program, participating CNX employees work with executive-led teams to identify specific community initiatives they want to support.
This year, five CNX executives are leading volunteer teams to tackle community initiatives. They include:
- Alan Shepard, Chief Financial Officer: Team Responsibility
- Alex Reyes, Executive Vice President, General Counsel: Team Ownership
- Hayley Scott, Chief Risk Officer: Team Tangible
- Ravi Srivastava, President, New Technologies: Team Impactful
- Navneet Behl, Chief Operating Officer: Team Local
“Impact is a wonderful opportunity for employees to volunteer their time, and direct financial giving, to communities where they see the most need,” said Scott. “My team is excited to participate in food and toy drives over the next two months, and working to address food insecurity, which is one of our Foundation’s key areas of focus.”
To begin the season, volunteers will assist Food Helpers with packing food for students to take home over the holiday break. Over the course of the next two months, teams will also be supporting Operation Santa Joint Forces Military Family Carnival, holiday initiatives at Blueprints, and the Caring Carts at two UPMC Hillman Cancer Center locations. In addition, employees will be actively volunteering at local food shelters and retirement homes, and sponsoring families for Christmas.
“Our Appalachia First vision comes down to focusing on our communities here, first,” said Scott. “We want to empower our employees to roll up their sleeves and invest in the prosperity of their neighborhoods.”
CNX Foundation is dedicated year-round to supporting organizations that embrace opportunities to make a positive impact in their Appalachian communities. To learn more about CNX Foundation, visit www.cnx.com/about-us/cnx-foundation.
