PPG Paints Arena was buzzing with excitement from the Mentorship Academy during Saturday night’s face-off between Pittsburgh Penguins and Seattle Kraken. Mentorship Academy students and mentors teamed up with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to celebrate the program’s second annual hockey game outing.
Students were welcomed with new Mentorship Academy hoodies as they entered their suite for the game. Throughout the game, the Mentorship Academy cheered on the Penguins, discussed career advice and opportunities in the sports industry with Celina Pompeani and received a surprise visit from Iceburgh!
“We are proud to partner with the Mentorship Academy in creating special memories and opportunities for these high school students,” said Jim Britt, Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation Executive Director. “It is important to invest in our youth and share insight to the various career paths available in the National Hockey League. They are the future, and we are proud to contribute any way possible.”
The Mentorship Academy is appreciative of the Pittsburgh Penguins and PPG Paints Arena for their continued support, and we express gratitude to those who made the night a success for our mentees.
