Dress for Success Pittsburgh Supports CNX Resource’s Appalachia First Vision

At Dress for Success Pittsburgh, we understand that poverty often affects women the most, and it can have a long-lasting impact on them and their families. We believe that addressing a woman’s needs is central to improving not only her quality of Dress for Success Pittsburgh life, but that of her family and future generations. And we aren’t the only ones who believe this - over the last several years, thanks to an outpouring of support, we’ve expanded well beyond the city of Pittsburgh, into Allegheny, Butler, Fayette, Greene and Washington counties.
Last year, we had the opportunity to move into The HQ™ at CNX Resources. The HQ™ provides space for nonprofits and women-owned business enterprises to work while collaborating and networking with similarly-minded companies. This move has allowed us to extend our reach while achieving our goals.
The HQ™ concept is just one way CNX Resource’s Appalachia First vision is making a tangible, impactful, local difference. This vision embraces innovation and harnesses the talent, resources and opportunities of Appalachia to transform our region, nation and the world. At the same time, this vision is placing the businesses, employees, communities, families and neighborhoods of Appalachia at its center, serving as a catalyst for a new middle class - one that can leverage all of the opportunities a natural gas economy offers.
Natural gas has created significant economic opportunities, and we want to help position women and their families to succeed in this new era. At Dress for Success Pittsburgh, our main purpose is to offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. With shared goals for the future of Appalachia, we not only benefit from the opportunity to work in The HQ™, we believe in CNX Resources’ Appalachia First vision and the possibilities it holds - for women and their families now, and for generations down the line.
