CNX Leadership, Mentorship Academy Students Commit to Monthly Volunteering At Outreached Arms

When presented the opportunity to support another great organization, Mentorship Academy students stepped up.

Giving back to the Appalachian Region has been part of our DNA for generations. When presented the opportunity to support another great organization, Mentorship Academy students stepped up.

On this week’s episode of #ThePathForward, student and employee volunteers head down to Outreached Arms, an organization devoted to providing basic needs and services for those impacted by food insecurity in Appalachia.

“It just hit me as one of those partnerships that made a whole lot of sense for us,” said Nick DeIuliis, CNX President and CEO. “We’re looking for tangible, we’re looking for impactful, we’re looking for local, and we’re looking for the tough stuff. The stuff that maybe, because it’s difficult and challenging, doesn’t get the attention and the resources it deserves. And that definition fits [Rob Rudy, Outreached Arms Executive Director and Co-Founder] and Outreached Arms to the tee.”

CNX leadership and Mentorship Academy students will be volunteering with Outreached Arms the first Tuesday of each month. We hope you’ll join us or follow along in the journey.
